What type of device can I use to watch presentations?

Any device that will open a web browser (computer, tablet, smartphone). You will also need an internet connection.

How do I get help with technical problems?

Our virtual platform vendor, SlideSpiel, will have support technicians available to answer questions during the entirety of the live event.

When will I receive the certificate of attendance?

You will receive a certificate of attendance for each presentation you watch. Certificates will be emailed to you within 24 hours of watching the full presentation.

If you watch a recorded conference presentation from the virtual video library, you will receive the certificate by email within 24 hours of watching the full presentation and answering 4-5 quiz questions.

What if I misplace my certificate of attendance?

Your certificate of attendance will be available on the conference platform for up to one year following the event. After that, CHIA will be unable to replace your certificate.

Do I have to attend all of the sessions on both days?

That's up to you! We realize that, unlike an in-person conference, it can be challenging to sit in one place staring at a screen for 2 full days. We have scheduled breaks in between each presentation to stretch, grab a snack, and attend to personal needs. If you miss a presentation, don't stress! A recording will be available in our virtual video library for up to one year following the event (expires March 4, 2022).

If I cannot attend on March 5 or 6 and plan to watch the recordings, do I have to register?

Yes, you must register in order to access the content on the conference platform.

Can I earn CEUs by watching the recording?

Yes! If you miss a presentation during the live event on March 5-6, you can still earn CEUs by watching the recording  in our virtual video library for up to one year following the event (expires March 4, 2022).

How many CEUs are approved?

You must be logged into the conference platform with your own unique login and password. This is the only way we can track your attendance for verification purposes.

To earn CEUs by watching a recorded presentation in the virtual library, you must watch the entire presentation.

RID credits: Please refer above if you are an ASL interpreter seeking CEUs.

How many total CEUs can I earn?

This will depend on the accrediting body (see above). You will have up to one year to earn CEUs for all approved presentations by watching the recording  in our virtual video library for up to one year following the event (expires March 4, 2022).

What if I'm interested in both presentations that are occurring at the same time?

No problem! You can watch one during the live event and watch the recording in our virtual video library for up to one year following the event (expires March 4, 2022).

Will I be on camera?

No, not during the presentations. You have the option to be on camera during the "Chat with CHIA Friends" opportunities (similar to a Zoom call).

Will I be able to ask the presenters questions?

Yes! Like a webinar, you will type your questions in a "live chat" box that streams to the right of the presentation. You will only see your message and moderator messages. A moderator will then ask the questions to the presenter(s) at the each session.

Will I be able to get a copy of the presentation slides?

This is at the discretion of each presenter. You may email them following the presentation to inquire.
