Online registration for the 2027 Annual Education Conference "Beyond Words, From Access to Alliance" is now open! Click here to view rates and register.
2-day registration includes:
- Attendance to workshops, breakout sessions and poster presentations
- Meals: Friday light breakfast, Friday lunch, Friday Dinner Reception and Celebration, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch
- Coffee/tea on both days
Conference Venue & Accommodations
This year's conference venue is the California State University, Los Angeles. CHIA is excited to have arranged two accommodation options for attendees: university residence halls/dorms and discounted hotel block room rates.
Program
The 27th Annual Educational Conference will feature an exciting lineup of presenters from across the country! This will include interactive workshops, breakout sessions, poster presentations, dedicated time to visit exhibitors, a networking reception, and the CHIA awards ceremony. Click here for details.
CEUs
CHIA typically applies for continuing education credits through the accrediting bodies listed below. For 2027, CHIA will pursue additional continuing education approvals based on the types of sessions submitted and the requirements of each accrediting body.

Nominations are due by January 31, 2027. Recipients are chosen by the CHIA board. They receive a plaque and recognition at the conference.Attire
Most attendees choose "business casual" for this event. We recommend comfortable shoes for moving from one session to another.

ADA Accommodations
Requests for a disability accommodation for conference participation can be made upon registration. (Note that the residence hall at California State University, LA or hotel should be notified separately of any necessary accommodation.)
Special Meal Considerations
Special meal requests can be indicated when registering. CHIA will communicate these requests to the venue for accommodation. Note that California State University's Golden Eagle Ballroom kitchen is unable to provide Halal or Kosher meals.
